Questions from security, IT and the field.
Which devices are supported?
Live capture uses LiDAR on iPhone 12 Pro and later and iPad Pro. Photo Mode (Pro and Studio) reconstructs from photos on other iPhones too. Entromark for Mac requires macOS 14 or later.
Does Entromark upload or store our data?
No. Entromark has no cloud service. Scans leave a device only when a user exports or shares them, or sends them to their own paired Mac.
Will the IFC open in Revit at the correct scale?
Yes — walls, doors, windows, rooms and storeys import at 1:1 metric.
Does it work without connectivity?
Yes. Capture and processing run fully offline. A paired Mac can be reached remotely over Tailscale if you choose.
Is it a subscription?
Your choice. Pro and Studio are available monthly, yearly (save up to 31%) or as a one-time lifetime license. Free has no time limit and no scan cap.
What happens with a very large scan?
Capture streams to storage as you walk, so large floors don't hit a memory ceiling. If a scan is too big to hold in memory on the iPhone, Entromark finishes it on the device with chunked meshing and tells you plainly which full-quality steps were skipped — send it to your Mac for the complete rebuild.
Can I leave the app while it's processing?
Yes. Processing is owned by a queue, not a screen. Navigate away, background the app or relaunch, and it resumes from saved progress.
Is the Mac app required?
No. Every workflow runs end-to-end on iPhone. A paired Mac adds a central library, backup and higher-fidelity processing — Pro offloads Object, Print and Photo scans; Studio unlocks the full workstation suite.
